Hi, everyone. Happy All Saints' Day if you're celebrating today.
I lost my job on Monday. It's been difficult to get used to it, because I was all set to get up early and have pancakes like I usually do... but sometimes you can't prevent things. I am trying not to get too depressed. I have been through this many times. Today, I went to the library and got some new books. I also answered some ads. Even got a call back! It was for a lower salary than I had last time, and with the cost of gas, I just couldn't take it. Too bad. There are bound to be more chances, though.
One of the few good things about being out of work for the moment is that I'll be able to go to weekday liturgies, for the next few weeks or months. :) Don't get me wrong, I am looking for a job and I will take one as soon as I can find something stable. Still, I love going to church. There's something special about weekday services. It will also help me deal with the effects of being out of work. It's good to go and worship, and to see your friends too.
I got a renewal card for my X Box membership. It was much cheaper than the online bill they would have made me pay. I figured I'm getting my last paycheck, why not treat myself to one thing that's fun... and it was. I played Game Party in Motion when I got home. That's a game for the Kinect. Boy, do you stretch and leap with that! I got forty minutes of exercise without knowing it.
I was very happily surprised when I talked about losing my job on the discussion board and I got tons of responses that people are praying for me. That was good! I am very grateful for their kindness. I don't always get along with people on the board, but I'll say this- they answer every prayer request you give them. Maybe I can learn from that.
I am very tired so I'm going to rest up for a bit. Thanks. See you later.
